Bow Wow! San Carlos a Pet-Friendly City

Dogs are a part of the family and when you live at 1501 Cherry Street, you’ll find yourself living in a city that welcomes your furry best friend!

Dog-Friendly Dining Out

There are many restaurants in the area that welcome dogs, including the Vanilla Moon Bakery, Town (a great spot for cocktails, cold beers, steaks and seafood), Patxi’s Chicago Pizza, and Rangoon Ruby (a fantastic Asian-Burmese restaurant with meat and vegetarian options that are all about authenticity). If you’re looking for a great burger to share with your best friend, The Cask is a great dog-friendly restaurant with a relaxed vibe. For lunches, try out The Sandwich Spot where you can choose from a range of delicious options or build your own sandwich – complete with gluten-free choices. Generally, pet tables are outside and heaters are provided for those cooler evenings.

Working Off Your Meal is a Walk in the Park

Making sure that you and your dog get enough exercise is easy when you live in San Carlos, as there are a variety of dog parks to make use of. This includes the City Hall Park, centrally-located with plenty of parking and well fenced in for safety, and Heather School Dog Park on Porto Marino Lane. This is a smaller park but has pretty hills and trails. Nearby Burton Park also has dog-friendly spaces, and if you drive out a bit further, there are scenic wilderness reserves too!

If building a happy life means sharing it with your furry best friend, it’s easy to see why dog lovers love San Carlos!
